Albanian Culture in Popular Culture

My friend Dana sent me the following link when she found out I was moving to Kosovo. It’s an SNL skit about an Albanian character joining the cast of HBO’s “Girls.” You’d probably have to be familiar with Girls to find this 100% funny, but even if you aren’t, it’s amusing. (And yes, Blerta is a real Albanian name.)

I haven’t yet watched the show “Archer” (maybe I’ll put it on my to-do list for the long winter ahead …). My friend Katie told me there is an episode of Archer where he has to go undercover in a restaurant to protect the Albanian ambassador. Sheep’s head soup is served. (I haven’t been given sheep’s head soup to eat, but I know someone who has.)
